First Aid at Work Requalification (FAW-R)
FAW certificates last three years. The two day requalification renews yours without repeating the full course, provided you complete it before the certificate expires.
Who this course is for
Anyone holding a current First Aid at Work certificate that is approaching its three year expiry date.
What the course covers
- Refresher on the primary survey and recovery position
- CPR and AED practice to current guidelines
- Choking, bleeding and shock
- Fractures, spinal and head injuries
- Medical emergencies and anaphylaxis
- Updates to guidance since your last certificate
- Practical assessment against the current standard
Worth knowing
Book before your certificate expires. If it has already lapsed you will normally need the full three day FAW course again, so give yourself a few weeks of margin.
How it is delivered
We come to you. Training runs at your own premises, which keeps your people on site and means the practical work happens in the environment they actually work in. If your site is not suitable we can arrange a venue instead, which is usually discussed when you book.
We are based in Glasgow and cover Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Dundee, Aberdeen, Carlisle, Newcastle, Argyll, Highlands and Islands and Cumbria, and we will travel further for the right booking. See areas we cover.
